WHI is a local fully insured contractor that specializes in residential repairs in two areas: repairing wood rot and real estate closing punchlists.
What Jeremy has been up to since his participation in 100 Days to
I have completely changed my approach to running my business. Before
100 Days, it was me and I was everything to my business. After 100 Days, I realized I couldn’t do that anymore and expect to grow the company!
As a result, I’ve hired a new crew leader, a new crew assistant/helper, and a part time office administrator. I’ve begun to focus on areas of my business that only I can run, not the day to day operations side. More of the vision, and hiring the right people to fill the roles that have been created and defined (also as a result of 100 Days).
We’ve just hit our best annual revenue numbers for the 6 years we’ve been in business.
And we are in the process of creating a sales & estimating position that we hope to hire for in the Spring of 2012. That would put us on pace to have two full time crews, which would be another step in our growth, and direct us to an even better 2012!
Jeremy’s best advice to other small business owners:
Don’t do it all yourself, learn to trust others with your companies success as well. Give them the vision to grow the company, and they’ll take it and run!
